Puget Sound Fitness Camp Common Questions
What is the sign-up process?
Go to the Register page and fill out the registration form. After filling out the registration form, please follow the payment instructions, we accept cash, check or you can also pay secure online via credit card. Once we've received your registration information, we'll contact you to schedule your pre-camp evaluation.

What is the Pre Camp Evaluation?

The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:
1. We will give you an introduction to Boot Camp and answer any questions you may have. We will also review your medical history.

2. We will take a few simple measurements to see where you are prior to beginning camp. We don't care what the measurements show. It's strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.

3. We will record your weight and measure your body fat percentage. Again, the numbers don't matter. We just want to be able to measure your improvement. Don't be surprised if you see a 3-8% reduction in your body fat over the four weeks!

4. See you at camp!

Why should I participate?
Along with achieving dramatic physical improvements, you will also meet great women who share your same passion for attaining a healthy body and mind. You will be finished with your training before the rest of Puget Sound has even started it's day.

What do I need to bring to camp?
24 ounces of water (minimum) that you will finish during your session.

Dumbbells/hand weights ( If this is your first time, start with 5 pounds and increase to 8 later)

Exercise Band (Elastic rope with handles on each end.  Estimated cost $6 each at Target or $11.99 for a set with 3 different intensities)

Exercise/yoga mat (campers prefer the thicker version found at Target and Big 5 for $19)

Hat and Gloves

Waterproof jacket

Appropriate running shoes to prevent injury, pains or strains.

(Visit Road Runner Sports in the Kent Station if you have not had your feet's form, gait, and strike examined by a professional who can recommend the correct brand and style for your individual needs..  They will use the latest high tech devices for free.  Let management know you are from Adventure Boot Camp and receive a discount on your shoes.)

And most of all, a positive attitude expecting to have fun, work hard, and achieve amazing results.

Except for a sense of adventure, these things can be purchased from Target, Wal-Mart, or any Fred Meyer's.Dress in a layered fashion...even if it is chilly, you will get warm very fast!

What if I sign up for the three day plan and then want to do all more days of the camp?
After starting camp, many women realize how fun and convenient it is so they request to sign up for more days. In addition, they realize that the more days they attend camp the greater the results. In these situations, you will simply be pro - rated from the point you decide to join us for more days .

Will I be sore sometimes?
Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process that lets you improve!

What kinds of people go to camp?
Women only. They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Most campers have some history of exercise, but it's not required.

Is there a refund policy?
If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your session start date however we will charge a $50.00 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your session begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp. This credit is nontransferable. There is no cash refund.

What is a typical day like at camp?
That's difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect Pilates, mat work, some light running , weight training, obstacle courses, and jumping rope each week. On special days, we will go hiking. It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! We teach you a great deal about proper form and "core stability."

How soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. It's becoming common to see a camper go down 1-2 dresses sizes within the first camp . Remember, everyone is different!

Are there shower facilities, or a place I can get ready for work?
We are located near a 24 Hour Fitness, Vision Quest and Bally's. If you have a membership at either of these clubs, you can get ready there. The Kent Location has access to showers at the pool next to the school at the cost of $2 per day.

What will I do after camp is over?

You can get re-measured and tested to show your progress and success in the program. Many (up to 80%) of the campers return for a second and even third camp.

What other events are included or offered?
On occasion there will be special events hosted by Puget Sound Adventure Boot Camp. These will be educational or community related events which will allow you to learn about health and fitness, contribute to the community, and socialize with other members of the boot camp outside of our daily workout sessions. You will receive more details about special events on the other pages within this website.

What is the cost (investment in myself)?
Each four-week boot camp has a registration fee of $299 plus tax. That's twenty hours of instruction for around $15 per hour! Personal trainers can typically charge $40 to $120 per hour for their services - this is a great chance to receive motivating fitness instruction by a certified personal trainer for just a fraction of the cost. Where else can you get premiere, cutting edge fitness instruction for that incredible price?

Other Options:
Better and more dramatic results will come from your participation in the 5 day a week program. However, we also offer 4 and 3 day programs

We are now accepting pre-registration for the next camp. You will get your pre-camp evaluation by your coach prior to the start of camp. Once we receive your registration information you will be notified to make an appointment.
